| Well, at least it isn't cancer.
I just today found out that I have small ovaries and cysts present in both of them. I also have a cyst in my uterus, not a fibroid as was previously thought. Apparently they are small and shouldn't cause abdominal pain. Well then, why the hell am I experiencing abdominal pain and feeling like I need to piss really often? Is it just musculoskeletal pain inflicted at work causing that? I don't fucking know, but I want to. I've already e-mail my doc and she has suggested physical therapy and a muscle relaxant. PT and drugs, just to do my job? WTF??
This is so frustrating. I mean what's next? Next time I get my blood sugar level checked are they going to hand me a box of syringes and say "congratulations Miss Radley, you have Diabetes, the disease that killed your mother. You can take shots twice a day or wear this lovely pump on your leg." All right, all right, I know I am being uber-pessimistic here but it's just frustrating not knowing, right now, at least, what is wrong. To make matters worse I just did something I should have done a long time ago: applied for life insurance. I think it was an appropriate thing to do, given that I will soon have even more distance between home and family. Maybe they won't want to risk insuring a freak like me. Or they'll just give me the #16 on the table rating scale, the highest one can go. It was really hard talking to the underwriting peeps on the phone. "This should take about 10 mimutes depenidng upon your medical history." Yeah, it took like 45 minutes. It was hard talking about things, things that are hard to keep track of cuz they happened so long ago, even though every day I see the ugly, physical reminders on my body that won't go away without the help of plastic surgery. I hate those ugly scars and the bump from my stoma.
All right, that was crazy talk I know, but it felt good to get it out. Before I use up a whole box of tissues I'd better stop.
| No, seriously. Something is up and I don't know what it is. I am experiencing back and abdominal pain yet again!! WTF? If it continues I will cntact my doctor tomorrow. Still waiting on the results from the MRI had yesterday. Maybe that will shed some light on what it is. It just kinda freaks me out, not really knowing what it is. I know that some of the back pain can probably be attributed to one of my boys. I just can't pick him up or have him sit on my lap and squirm anymore. | | |
| Yep, it's over. And those greedy bastards at Target who pile their carts with the candy. OMG, come on people. You'd think the apocolypse is coming or something. And then, rudeness, someone took my cart. Just took my stuff and my re-useable bag right out of it. To that person: I hope you get a stomach ache.
All right, so I was Wednesday Addams yesterday. Here are a few pix.

| Man, it's been almost a month since I have posted here. Facebook takes up so much time.
Well, not like anybody reads this, so there, justification for ignoring it.
Yay, it's almost Halloween! I am going to be Wednesday Addams. Amy gave me the brilliant idea of using yarn to get the signature hair do. I just wish I could have executed it better. Oh well.
There, post accomplished.
| Well, maybe not quite, as I had to leave on the 12th, but you'll see why it was great. Just keep reading.
After a final ride on the streetcar, I headed over to Du Monde for a frozen au lait and then made my way over to the Williams Gallery of the Historic New Orleans Collection on Royal Street. There was a great music-related photo exhibit and some nice, friendly staff. I talked with one lady for about 15 minutes. I wish I would have had more time there, as I didn't get to see everything. I wanted to go to Tip's after the exhibit. Soon.
Anywho, onto the highlight. Brunch at Magnolia Grill right near the Market. I walked in and I saw Stephanie and her husband David. The last time I saw them she had just had her daughter. Mia is now nine and they have a five (or six) year old son. Junior looks just like his dad and Mia is her mom with long hair and freckles. Jim and Janis, aka "the ancient ones," (couldn't resist) joined us. Then came Angie, hubby Ralph and little cutie pie Harmony, who's about two and half. She was pregnant with the Harm-ster last time I was in town. Suzie Q also joined us for the festivities. It was nice to linger over breakfast and chat and catch up and just hang out with my nola friends. Too bad Stasia, Char, C, Doro, Roger, Ritchie and Heather and Deidra couldn't be there. If I have left anybody out please forgive me. It was the absinthe drink!
I had the whole row of seats to myself on the flight to Vegas. It was cool to fly out over Pontchartrain and see the loooooong Causeway. Craziness! I don't know how Angie does it. In Vegas I foolishly put $15 into the machines. Oh well. Full, cramped flight back to Oakland sitting next to some dream killers. Well, attempted dream killers.
Despite more rain than I wanted and the bump on my head and the medicine that I couldn't take cuz it made me feel nauseous I had an awesome time. Only one blister, some new bars, new drinks, new veggie options.
I heart New Orleans! | | |
